» Which bullet does my gun use?

i have a .45 S&W revolver. it has a relatively long nose. i went to the store and i bought some .45 Auto-Rim bullets and put them in my revolver. When pulling the trigger the hammer clicked and clicked. i thought the gun was broken. later i found out it wasnt the right type of bullets. they were a bit small and the hammer could not hit the back of the bullet, unless i shot up in the air. so, which bullets do i buy? should i buy the .45 ACP, colt bullets or what? There are designed to shoot .45acp off half or full moon clips. It should also be able to fire auto rim, however. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.ex...Your gun shoots .45 Smith & Wesson, also known as .45 Schofield rounds. You should put it down and not pick it up until you ...... - 2010-03-11

Second half - 3, Dallas, Kreis 1 (O'Brien, Suarez), 49th. 4, Dallas, Deering 1 (Johnson, Pareja), 68th. 5, Dallas, Martinez 1 (Pareja), 70th. 6, Colorado, Spencer 1 (penalty kick), 75th. :DA pretty sad statement about MLSThat was my initial reaction, when I found out Steve Morrow had been signed by Dallas, much less that he had scored a goal or two for them. But in retrospect, I think it's now merely a statement that Mike Jeffries is simply a better coach than Stewart Houston or Ray Harford. » What's your stance on abortion...?

PRO CHOICE WOOTWOOT A womans body is her own ****** buisness - Jay (jay and silent bob)Abortion is going to happen whether there are abortion clinics or not. If there are not, then it will be with the broken coat-hanger in some back lane joint and at a high price,in which the foetus is not only aborted but the expectant mother can die of malpractice as well. That is how it used to be before abortion clinics. You can introduce another law to prevent coitus from occurring except for allocated pregnancies under license. Will that cure things? Of course not. People can raise all the rights they like until the cows come home but the anti-abortionists are not going to save a single life more. I was attending a state university but can't continue cause I can't afford it. If I go to a community college in the spring, will I still receive the same amount of financial aid that I got this semester for the U(I got pell grants and federal sub loans)? Or will this amount decrease because the tuition is cheaper?Hi, you would still be eligible for the same amount as those amounts are determined based on your FAFSA results. What you do have to be aware of though is the time frame between when you go to the state uni and when you go to the community college. If you leave the state school and attend the community college right away, they have to take your previous loan and grant usage into account if it is in the same 30 week perio...... - 2010-03-11

i don't know when this happened exactly, but i'd have to ballpark it in building my own xbmc between may 28 and june 6. everything works fine of course, but for some reason when browsing the xbox hard drive for videos, it now displays the whole path, which is annoying especially when you're 3 directories deep and it's scrolling offscreen. the bookmark is set up as f:\videos, so now i see f:\videos\cartoons\ in the listing, etc. when i go to a music share on the hard drive (like f:\apps\xbmc\streams\), i don't have the directory prefix. is there an option to turn off this displaying the full path in videos that i've missed somewhere?solved my own problem. well not really solved but found out where the probl...... - 2010-03-11

» Chain Vise vs. Yoke Vise

I've been looking at a few portable pipe vises, but can't decide between a chain or a yoke vise. I've used the yoke type before, but never the chain. What's the major advantages of one over the other? The majority of my work is done on 1/2" to 1-1/2" pipe. Any problems you've found working with either types? Any information will help.Marcus, There are a few differences between a chain vise and a yoke vise. We offer chain vises that can accommodate 8" pipe where as the biggest yoke vise can only handle 6" You said that the majority of your work is in the 1/2 - 1-1/2" range so this probably is not a big factor. Thoughts?A similar thread (http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17712)Does it lose something when a photographer chooses to shoot a sunset landscape with Velvia rather than Provia? Hey, now I'm going to be using a Yellow #8 filter for some shots with skies in them, my "mentor" (school librarian) recommended it. I've had one since I began black and white, but stopped using it for the reason I'm about to ask: I already compensate a full stop when shooting without the filter, I feel I get better negatives that way and it's definitely proven so in the darkroom. With a yellow 8, I noted on B&H that it requires a full stop to compensate. Is the yellow really all that dark that it would require (for my circumstances) two full stops? Or can I just forego it and continue exposing a stop over? I would try it myself, but my money and film is tied up right now for my trip to Austria. Glue the corner, then use your finger or thumb to smooth it out the whole length, then leave it alone. A day or two later, remove your masking tape and refill to test. Afterwards, even though the bone was heal, I kept feeling sever pain that any doctor I went to just shrugged off as normal for being post surgery. Wasn't until one did an x-ray, about 9 months after, of my leg to find that the pin had been putting pressure onto the ligaments and tendons in the area, judging from the x-ray I'd say it was about half a centimeter or more. I severely sprained my ankle on Friday morning. I did the R.I.C.E treatment all day Friday, then I went to Prompt Med later in the evening when the pain continued and was unbearable. The x-ray came back clear. I continued to rest on Saturday, only got up a few times. On Sunday, I started to try and move around a bit with crutches (still in a lot of pain). Later Sunday I thought I would try to walk without the crutches, and just toe touch weight bearing on the sprained ankle. I was trying to get prepared for work on Monday! Well today is Monday and I still cannot bear weight on my entire foot it is like someone is stabbing me with a knife in several places all over my entire foot and ankle region. Since I incurred this injury, I have ...... - 2010-03-11

» video streams: audio/video out of sync

I have been using .strm and .asx files to play internet video streams on xbmc and have noticed that all mms:// streams (possibly others too like rtsp://) are constantly out of sync. They will play out of sync for about 10/15 minutes then sound will go off and a bit after video will stop. Example stream: mms://wm7.xs4all.nl/streamgate61 XBMC running is rev8519. And cache setting are the default values. I guess this issue is most probably related to the mplayer version and/or cache settings. Any tips would be much appreciated. Cheers...... - 2010-03-11

» Low Orbit Satellites to monitor the open sea?

Is it possible to send some Low Orbit Satellites up there to monitor the open sea? Instead of sending the NATO's warships (or the 1000 ship project) patrolling the area. Especially in the Gulf of Aden (Somalia pirates). The LOS will equipped with GPS guided missiles, don't even need explosive warheads, just a chunk of iron will punch a hole to sink the pirate ship. I am sure the U.S. or N.A.T.O. or Russia and China have the technologies, once identified they are indeed pirate ships then fire and forget about it and I think it is inexpensive to do. And I don't think the pirates have the technology to shoot down the satellites. The problem is that Somalia has a large amount of starving people in their nation... and therefore a l...... - 2010-03-11

» Help with a couple of things in Access 2000

I have a form with a text entry box that a date is entered in. I have a macro that will run when a button on this form is clicked. How do I refer to, and recall the value in this box in the macro, what format do I use to call up this date to be searched for, etc? (The name of the text box is Search Date ) AND: Is there a way of searching for today s date, without actually inputting the date? (like Date(), but that will work in a Search)Before you do anything, you should NEVER use spaces in the names of anything. Lets change the name of the control ot dtSearchDate. If the Code is running on the form that contains dtSearchDate then you would use this: me.dtSearchdate.value If the code is running from another form you must have both forms o...... - 2010-03-11

    » Should I do this?

Ok so i have come across a canon 10d for sale, coming with the vert grip, and a 512 cf, and the battery/charger/software for 650, and it is in superb shape. The reason why i consider getting this and selling off my e-500 for lenses is because of what i have read about the 10d's performance. Noise being the first and foremost. I do alot of night time/low light shooting and the e-500 noise is KILLING ME. right now i have enough money to buy this kit from the guy, and i will try and sell my olympus kit(e-500+ 4 lenses) to buy one nice canon lens. what do you chaps think??What ISO do you need to be shooting at and how large do you want to print? 10D is relatively bad in terms of ISO performance in the canon lineup. The sensor doesn't have...... - 2010-03-11

» Vertigo twelve hours after a train ride?

I recently was on a train ride from Kansas City to Denver and it was roughly eight hours. Ever since I got off the train, which was twelve hours ago, i have been feeling extremely dizzy and been having trouble walking. I kinda figured the first few hours were just from sitting down for a long time, but it has been getting worse. I think it can't be altitude sickness because i am quite acclimated to Colorado, but for preventive measures I've been drinking water. I have also gone quite pale and I have an earache. I never have got motion sickness in my life, could this be it? Sorry if I sound like a dummy, I am quite confused. By the way, I'm nineteen, quite healthy if I say so myself. :) I notice your professional gramma...... - 2010-03-11

» Need Advise, Floor drain overflows

1964 building, 3 floors, appartment on each floor. Drain's are steel leading into cast iron. Each appartment has a washer and dryer. Every time someone uses the washer (clothes) in any of the appartments, the floor drain in the basement overflows with extremely soapy water. I fished the lines with a half inch by 50 foot snake once before, and willing to do it again but is it time to get a camera in the line? If not, any suggestions? Please Advise Thanks AvellinoHi Avellino, To reduce the foaming you need to increase the bore (diameter) of the pipe to what it was when new. Also check on the users if they do use low foam soap (detergent). I had this same problem back in 1975 at a block of flats and the above has solved my pro...... - 2010-03-11

» What we have done so far on bird flu may not be enough'

What we have done so far on bird flu may not be enough' http://www.thejakartapost.com/detailheadlines.asp?fileid=20060926.A03&irec=2 The government has stepped up its fight against avian influenza with the launch of a mass vaccination campaign earlier this month. The executive chairman of the National Committee for Avian Influenza Control and Pandemic Influenza Preparedness, Bayu Krisnamurthi, recently spoke with The Jakarta Post's Emmy Fitri about measures and plans designed to contain the outbreak of the disease. The government seems to have responded to the emergence of avian influenza in humans at a snail's pace. Why? It is a complicated issue here and it is absolutely not true to say the government has done nothing about it. ...... - 2010-03-11

» Which women throughout history stood up for women rights?

What did they stand for? What would you say to those women?Mary Woolstonecraft published her 'Vindication of the Rights of Women' in the late 18th century. It caused quite a stir, but did not lead to any noticeable changes. Caroline Norton, an english writer who had had her children removed from her care by her husband her husband, fought to have them returned to her, and her pamphlet A Plain Letter, influenced the passing of the Infant Custody Bill in 1839. In 1853, her ex husband brought a new suit against her for debt, and took all her interests, prompting her to write in favour of the Divorce Bill and the first Married Women's Property Bill in her English Laws for Women in the Nineteenth Century and A Letter to th...... - 2010-03-11

    » New Age Products Industry

I am looking for information on the size of the U.S. retail industry commonly called "New Age Products".Approximately $44 billion a year is spent on "New Age" products in the United States. "Newagecities.com, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board/NACT) is building an Internet portal that is demographically targeted. It will offer e-commerce services to the New Age population. I knew the New Age market segment was reasonably large, but I was surprised to learn it consists of over 38 million people in the United States alone, plus many more in many countries that are reached by the Internet. The U.S. group spends about $44 billion a year on New Age products. New Age product areas include aromatherapy (mood changing aromas), astrology, crystal energy,...... - 2010-03-11
